Mark Francis Van De Hei, 60, Seymour, left us far too early on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He left this earth holding the hand of his beloved wife while surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born March 31, 1962, to Raymond and Grace (Kempen) Van De Hei. On September 14, 1984, he married the love of his life, Kerri Van Den Langenberg. Together they raised their three children and were blessed with six grandchildren. Mark enjoyed spending time at their family cabin, golfing, playing cards, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kerri, Seymour, and their children: Kenny (Brooke) Van De Hei, Oneida, and their children: Gavin, Grayson, and Kenlynn; Katie (Jeremy) Curtis, Sobieski, and their children: Jayce and Emma; and Colleen (Trevor) Allen, Seymour, and their daughter, Collete.
Mark is further survived by his mother, Grace Van De Hei, Seymour; and his 10 siblings: Richard (Shirley) Van De Hei, Freedom; Roy (Christine) Van De Hei, Seymour; Margie (Rich) Matuszak, Seymour; Tom (Nancy) Van De Hei, Seymour; Dale (Julie) Van De Hei, Black Creek; Sue (Rick) Mikel, Gillett; Dennis (Jill) Van De Hei, Seymour; Mike (Dar) Van De Hei, Oneida; Sandy (James) Hermes, Seymour; Jim and (Cindy) Van De Hei, Seymour; his sisters-in law and brothers-in-law: Joan (Don) Hansen, Hobart; Jean (Ron) Best, Tallahassee, FL; Dave (Patty) Van Den Langenberg, Green Bay; Randy (Denise) Van Den Langenberg, Lakewood; Dar (Mike) Van De Hei, Oneida; Wendy Wilcox (Derald Ossman), Seymour; MaryLynn Van Den Langenberg, Seymour; Marty (Judy) Van Den Langenberg, Seymour; and Roxann (Ken) Badtke, Pulaski; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Van De Hei; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Dorothy Van Den Langenberg; brothers-in-law: Dale Kasten and Dan Van Den Langenberg.
Visitation will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 915 Ivory St, Seymour, on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Closing Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at the church on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., Fr. Sengole Dass officiating, Dcn. Rich Matuszak assisting. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Oneida.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
Every time we see a cardinal, we will know you are now at peace in Heaven, watching over us all. We will miss and love you forever, until we meet again.
