1955 Mark 2021

Mark Zuberbier

October 31, 1955 — February 7, 2021

Mark Zuberbier, 65, Appleton, formerly of Black Creek, fought the fight and now is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In the 11th chapter of John, Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me will live, even though they die; and whoever believing in me will never die."

Mark was born October 31, 1955, to Orville and Vera (Volkman) Zuberbier. He was Baptized November 13, 1955, and confirmed March 30, 1969, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek. He entered his eternal life peacefully at home on Sunday, February 7, 2021.

Mark met his wife, Audrey Brockman, at Fox Valley Lutheran High School during their freshman year, and the couple was united in marriage on December 6, 1975. They were blessed with four children.  God and His Church were very important to Mark. He would like to thank Pastors Tim Glende, Jim Fleming, Bill Monday, Michael Ewart, and Mike Novotny for helping to feed his faith until the very end. Also, we thank all the family friends at St. Peter for their prayers and support.

Mark had a number of employers over the years, including Frank Reetz, Arlin Springstroh, Ed Rawling, and Fred and Pat Lindburg.  He also enjoyed many years farming with his dad. In March of 1985, Mark left the workforce to do what he loved fulltime, work with his father farming. In 1994, Mark found himself giving up farming and he began working for Bemis until his retirement in March of 2019. While at Bemis, he made many friends who he called his work family. Mark treasured their friendships greatly.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey; four children: James (Karen) Zuberbier, and their children: Sammie, Alec, Aiden, Lucas, and Jackson; Timothy (Lisa) Zuberbier, and their children: Elijah, Christopher, and Shayna and Lisa's children: Cody and Paige; Joshua (Miranda) Zuberbier, and their children: Everly, and Elyse; and Elizabeth (Ryan) Schmalz, and their children: Adalyn and Macoy.
