Mrs. Marlene (Gerald) Baehler, 81, of Seymour passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay. She was born July 27, 1936 in Rose Lawn, WI daughter of Emil and Elda (Moeller) Goerl. Both parents and two brothers, Eugene and Dallas Goerl, preceded her in death.
Marlene was married to Gerald Baehler on June 16, 1956. Gerald died in December, 2012.
Marlene was a hard-working farm wife and mother of six children. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
She was an avid gardener of both flowers and vegetables. In addition to her children, Marlene was a mother to birds and animals. She loved feeding and caring for her own pets and her grand-pets, and she was famous for her chocolate chip cookies.
She is survived by her children: Steve (Judy) Baehler, Debbie (Jim) Cherney, Donna (Bill) Oberhardt, Cheryl (Tom) Losinski, Glen (Tracey) Baehler, and Pat Baehler; grandchildren: Misty (Tommy), Ryan (Heidi), Jess, Sarah (Chance), Adam, Marla, Thomas, Joel, Stephen, Amelia, and Kendra; great-grandchildren: Jax, Aida, Carter, Aja, Alec, Gage, and Clark; and her brother, Gerald Goerl.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Friday, April 27 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 28 from 2:30pm until the funeral service at 3pm at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 349 N. Main in Seymour with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour.
