Marvin R. "Mony" Landsverk, 91, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, July 12, 2017, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton, surrounded by his family. He was born June 12, 1926, son of the late Ambros and Olena (Nelson) Landsverk. On April 20, 1946, he was united in marriage to Joyce Fischer.
Mony was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Neenah. He was a farmer in Navarino in his youth and then was employed with Marathon for 31 years, until his retirement. Mony enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and playing sheepshead and even playing Monday and Tuesday of this week. He traveled all 50 states and visited his father's homeland in Norway and slept in the house his father was born in. He and his wife spent 35 years wintering in Arizona.
Survived by his wife, Joyce; children: Jacqueline (Ronald) Gullickson, Neenah; James (Christine) Landsverk, Gurnee, IL; Mary Joy (Jeff) Danke, Suring; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by four brothers and sisters-in-law.
Friends may call at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Neenah on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 10:00 am until services at noon with Pastor Cath Mode officiating. Burial will take place in Ascension Cemetery, Navarino. Online condolences may be expressed at muehlboettcher.com.
