Marvin W. Ossmann, age 90, of Seymour, passed away early Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. He was born on April 9, 1921, son of the late Ernest and Alma (Loewenhagen) Ossmann.
Marv was a World War II Marine Veteran and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour. He was employed with Seymour Lumber for many years and after retirement moved to Florida before recently returning to Seymour.
Survivors include his daughter Mary Lou (Bernard) Valence, Dorr, Michigan; three grandchildren: Kenneth Valence, Allan (Laura) Valence, Holly (Grant) Korteway; six great grandchildren: Justin, Ashley, Jason, Ryan, Allison, Eric; two great great-grandchildren: Hailey, Cameron; sisters: Lydia (Larry) Tews, LaVerne Zeamer, Elaine Court, Ione (Dick) Kuehne; brothers Emerald (Luella) Ossmann, Robert (Arlene) Ossmann, Vernon (Jan) Ossmann; sister-in-law Sally Ossmann; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his wife Esther, three brothers Emerson, Amos and Ernest.
Friends may call Saturday July 9th, 2011 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour from 9:30 AM until services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating with burial in the parish cemetery with military honors. Online condolences may be express at www. muehlboettcher.com.
