Marvin Rodencal

Marvin Melvin Rodencal, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Living Tree Estates, Greenville, at the age of 95. Marv was born on November 19,1923, in the Town of Poy Sippi, Waushara County, the son of Frank and Alma (Geurke) Rodencal.

Marv was a member of ST. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. He was involved in many woodworking projects for the Church, friends, and family.

Marv graduated from Berlin High School in 1941. Marv served in the U.S. Army from 1949-1954. Marv was blessed to visit Washington DC compliments of Old Glory Honor Flight on Mission 18, 6/30/2013.

Marv retired from Appleton Lathing Corporation in 1986 and was a member of Carpenters Local #955 for over 55 years.

On September 10, 1950, Marvin married Ruth C. Neumann and shared over 67 years together before she went to her Lord and Savior in May, 2018.

Marv is proceeded in death by his beloved wife Ruth, his parents; two brothers: Harley (Ella) and Gordon (Gretchen) Rodencal; one sister, Marjorie (Lawrence) Roggow; nieces and nephews: Sharon and Jerry Jahnke, Chuck Krueger, Albert Rodencal, Barbara Rodencal, Elaine Marquardt, Carol and Kathryn Roggow.

Marvin is survived by his sister in law Gretchen Rodencal and many nieces and nephews: Shirley (Donnie) Crossman; Judy, David, Karen, Doug (Lori), Larry (Patti) Rodencal; Sharon (Bob) Heschke; Lori (Rob) Edelburg; Thomas Roggow; Gary (Chris), Ralph (JoAnn), Dennis (Kris), Thomas (Linda), and Bonnie Neumann; Donna Olson; Leta Krueger; Debra (Patrick) Jacklin; and Diane (David) Fell.

Friends may call at St Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 129 S Mason ST, Appleton, on Thursday December 6, 2018, from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am with Pastor Jonathan Kuske officiating. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Cemetery, Appleton.
