Mary R. Paltzer, age 95 passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. She was born May 25, 1914 daughter of the late William and Anna (Ellenbecker) Baumann. On May 28, 1938 she was united in marriage to Robert N. Paltzer. He preceded her in death November 9, 1989.

Mary was a charter member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Appleton, a member of the Holiday Homemakers and a past 4-H Leader. She was a strong backer of the Wisconsin Badger football team. She enjoyed baking, gardening and playing cards especially sheepshead.

Survivors include her sons, Robert "Toby" (Carol) Paltzer, Bill (Dorothy) Paltzer; grandchildren: Larry Paltzer, Nick (Amy) Paltzer, Randy (Dawn) Paltzer, Brad (Michelle) Paltzer, Jeff (Michele) Paltzer, Julie (David) Marcks, Angie (Kurt) Hintz, Joe Paltzer (special friend Michelle Genke), Amber Leitzke, Dani and Derek Peerenboom, Zachary, Tyler and Miranda Paltzer, Andrew Paltzer, Emma and Max Paltzer, great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Derek and Bethany Marcks, Greg and Kelsey Paltzer, Nathan and Nick Hintz, Brett Paltzer, great-great-grandchild Jenalynn Leitzke.

Mary was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton on Saturday, June 27, 2009 from 9 AM until the funeral mass at 11 AM with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating.
Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Appleton. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home in Seymour is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
