Mary Wojkiewicz

Mary Jane Wojkiewicz, age 75, of Hobart, WI, passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2025.

Mary was born on October 18th, 1949 to Bill (Wilbert) Poels and Grace Meyer. She met and fell in love with Joe Wojkiewicz, marrying on August 1st, 1970. Together they shared three children.

Known for her warm heart and creative spirit, Mary brought joy to all who knew her. Her passion for baking elaborate cakes created sweet memories for family and friends. She was an avid reader, a devoted caretaker of her vibrant orchids, and found peace watching hummingbirds on their feeder by the window. She never missed an episode of Yellowstone, her favorite TV show. One of her proudest accomplishments was that she graduated from beauty school. Known as Nana by many, she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched.

Mary is survived by her husband, Joe; daughters Jessie (Josh) Gaura and Beth Wojkiewicz; daughter-in-law Jodie Wojkiewicz; grandchildren Justin (Katie) Wojkiewicz, Grace (Alan Rasmussen) Wojkiewicz, Alyssa Pettigrew, Joe Gaura, Julie Gaura, and Ari Wojkiewicz; great-grandchildren Owen Wojkiewicz, Reyna Pettigrew, and Remi Wojkiewicz; siblings Bonnie (Pat) VandeVoort, Susie (Bob) VanDeYacht, and Bobby (Sue Reese) Poels; nieces; nephews; and other family members.

Mary was proceeded in death by her son, Mark Wojkiewicz; her parents Bill (Wilbert) and Grace Poels; her father and mother-in-law, Ted and Teresa Wojkiewicz; aunts; uncles; and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mary will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14th at 7:00PM with Deacon Bobby Doxtator officiating. Memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3:00PM until the time of services.
