Mathu Giese

Mathu Giese, age 36, passed away on March 12, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by loved ones after fighting for his life as a result of a motorcycle accident.

Mathu was born to Lauri (Habeck) Christjohn and the late Daniel Giese on November 6, 1987.

Mat lived for spending time with his son Jaxtyn, riding his motorcycle with his brother, grandpa and friends. He enjoyed paintballing with his squad and friends, tracking all things, mudding and hunting for everything.

He loved to share his passions with anyone interested, especially hunting with his little cousin Maddy. He will be missed by so many family members and friends.

He is survived by his son, Jaxtyn, Oneida; mother, Lauri (John) Christjohn, Oneida; siblings: Shaun (Amber) Giese, Oneida, Malauri (Jen) Giese, Oneida, Abi (Nate) Habeck, Gillette, Tanya (Charlie) Hunt, Oneida, Tony Christjohn, Oneida, Rollie Christjohn, Oneida, and Joe Christjohn, Oneida; grandparents: Barb and Larry Reynolds, Oneida; Donald and Donna Giese, Cecil; other relatives, and friends.

Mat was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Giese; grandfather, Michael Habeck, and brother, John (BJ) Christjohn III.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 3:00 pm until the service at 6:00 pm with Nick Reynolds officiating.
