Megan T. Short, age 22, of rural Pulaski passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 3, 2007, following a courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side. She was born July 6, 1984 in Green Bay, the daughter of Norbert and Mary (Sterckx) Short. Megan was a 2003 Graduate of Bonduel High School and attended UW Green Bay majoring in Accounting until her illness. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Navarino. Megan enjoyed fishing and snowmobiling up in Canada; spending time with children and babysitting. She loved her animals especially her dogs and she enjoyed scrap booking. Most of all she loved her sisters, but only one at a time!
She is survived by her parents, Norb and Mary Short; her sisters, Nicole (special friend, Bradley Moeller), Bonduel; and Jamie (special friend, Dale Diemel), Navarino; her foster brothers, Barry (Lisa) Duhm, Clintonville: Larry Duhm, Clintonville; also her two nieces, Abby and Aspen, and special friend, Wayne Posbrig, Pulaski; maternal grandparents, Darriol and Fay Sterckx, Gresham; and paternal grandmother, Frances Short, Bonduel.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Short.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, on Sunday, July 8, 2007 from 4 until 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 9, 2007 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Navarino from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The burial will be in the parish cemetery.
