Melton "Buck" Schampers, age 66 passed away Tuesday evening, March 31, 2009 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay. He was born November 17, 1942 son of the late Elmer and Mathida (Haese) Schampers. On October 11, 1969 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Paider.
Buck was a retired school teacher with the Seymour Community Schools and a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour. He enjoyed time spent with his family and his cottage up north.
Survivors include his wife Betty, daughters: Tammy (Jim) Oskey, Freedom; Penny Schampers, Seymour; Vickie Schampers, Green Bay and Gina Schampers, Seymour; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Max, Luke, and Cameron; one sister, Madeline (Dennis) O'Connor, Green Bay; one brother-in-law, John Kornowski, Green Bay; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Robert (Agatha) Paider, Mary Blohowiak, and Richard Paider.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Carolen Kornowski, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Frank Paider, brother-in-law, Joseph Blohowiak.
Friends may call at St. Johns Catholic Church in Seymour on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 9 AM until services at 11 AM with Father Bob Kabat officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
