Melva Jean (Davidson) Luft was born on October 13, 1941 and passed away peacefully on November 16, 2018 surrounded by family and having one of her favorite hymns, Amazing Grace being sang to her by her granddaughter.
Survived by her husband: David Luft; Children – Lorie(Kevin)Evers, Mark(Cindy)Luft; Son-In-Law – Ken Murphy. Grandchildren: Jessica(Jack Sharon) Evers; Amanda (JC Blouin) Evers; Kyle(Stacy Ernst) Evers; Melissa Bowers-Weeks; Tara(Brad)VanCaster; McKayla(Joe Young)Luft; Travis Luft
Great Grandchildren: Morgan Weeks, Charolette Hawks, Jack Sharon II, Leonard Sharon, Addalynn VanCaster, Emma VanCaster, Quinten Young, Jordyn Young, Taylor Ernst, Emily Ernst
Preceded in death by her daughter Penny Luft-Bowers-Murphy; Son-In-Law: Bob Bowers; Parents: Alexander & Loretta Davidson; In-laws: George & Lydia Luft
Her passion for baking was enjoyed not only by her family but for the many friends she baked for; especially when she made her famous cut out cookies. She enjoyed, knitting, crocheting, and sewing for others especially her children; grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the less fortunate. She was part of the “Dress A Girl” project at Appleton Alliance Church and was a testament of how she loved helping others.
The most important thing to her was her family; especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren

Friends may call at Appleton Alliance Church, 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd. Appleton (East Entrance) on Monday, November 19, 2018, from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Dennis Episcopo and Rev. Dan Dainsberg officiating. Burial will take place in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
