Michael Blohm

Michael Blohm, age 65, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

Michael was born on December 14, 1956 to Reuben and Martha (Sperl) Blohm. Michael was united in marriage to Ruth Garner on May 20, 2006.

He was a 1975 graduate of Seymour High School, and drove semi most of his life. He retired from Dayton Freight in 2019. Michael was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
He had a lifetime special interest with Hit & Miss engines. (Still wish I would have paid more attention to dad teaching me something about them.) Thankfully I had my old mentor and friend Jerry Severson for that. Michael belonged to the Badger Steam & Gas Engine Club Baraboo and enjoyed looking for primitive antiques.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Blohm; three sisters: Karen (special friend Jim Weyers) Sievert, of Seymour, Janet (Richard) Vanden Heuvel, of De Pere, Sue (Doug) Seidl, of Seymour; brother, Glen (Mary Jo) Blohm, of Sylvania, Ohio; sister-in-law, Judy Blohm, of Cambellsport; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Blohm; and brother-in-law, Mel Sievert.

Visitation will take place Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home at noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
