Michael G. Stiegler, age 76, of Green Bay passed away suddenly surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. He was born on January 30, 1948 a son of the late John and Evalene (Bayee) Stiegler.
Following his graduation from Green Bay West High School Mike drafted into the US Army. He proudly served in the US Army from 1968 to 1974, having been in Vietnam during the war. Mike was able to participate in an Old Glory Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. in April of 2024.
He began his electrical career working with his father in the family business, Stiegler Electric. Mike continued in the family business until his eventual retirement with 48 years dedicated to the electrical business.
Mike was united in marriage to Maryanne Court on December 14, 1983 in Green Bay.
He was an avid golfer after retirement and spending time with coworkers, friends and family on the golf course and in the clubhouse afterward. He also enjoyed deer hunting with good times spent at deer camp. Fishing up at the cabin in Pembine was something he looked forward to doing every year. He was a shareholder of his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.
Mike was known to do his "drive by's" passing all of the family homes with his partner in crime, his dog Misty.
He is survived by his wife, Maryanne Stiegler; children: Tina (fiance, Jesse) Stiegler, Nicole (Paul) Koltz, John Stiegler, Tonya (Patrick) Conrad, Chuck Lau, and Roberta (Keith) Glasson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren who he loved dearly. Further survived by a sister, Mary (Christopher) Bouchea; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Scott Bouchea; mother-in-law, Lilian Court; and best friend, Dan Steber.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service for Mike will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:30 am on Thursday morning. Interment will take place at South Cicero Cemetery, Seymour.
