Mildred Kraning

Mildred "Millie" Kraning, age 85, of Seymour passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born on April 2, 1939 to the late Fred and Lucille (Brocker) Werner.

Millie was united in marriage to Leroy Kraning on August 10, 1957. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2019.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cicero where she was very active within the church and ladies groups.

Millie enjoyed working in the garden, baking with the grandchildren and teaching them how to cook, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons: Richard (Danielle) Kraning, Terry (Tina) Kraning, Dale (Gina) Kraning, Mike (Chrisanne) Kraning, Jeff (Shelly) Kraning, Tim (Jenny) Kraning, and Larry (Janet) Kraning; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by sisters: Judy Davies and Carol Pingel, sisters-in-law: Robin Werner and Bonnie Kraning; one brother-in-law, Elmer "Butch" (Betty) Kraning; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Kraning; sister: Shirley Werner Row; brothers: David (Maxine) Werner and Darrell Werner; brothers-in-law: Tom Davies, Randy Pingel, Ervin Kraning and Lester "Pete" Kraning; and sisters-in-law.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cicero on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Bryan Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
