Minnie Schmidt

January 25, 1921 — September 24, 2015

Minnie I. Schmidt, 94, of Black Creek, passed away Thursday morning, September 24, 2015 at her home. She was born January 25, 1921, daughter of the late George and Minnie (Ashenbrenner) Ready. On April 20, 1940, she was united in marriage to Harold F. Schmidt. He preceded her in death October 13, 2008.

Minnie and Harold farmed in the Town of Cicero until their retirement and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Seymour. She enjoyed traveling, gambling and time spent with her family.

Minnie is survived her twelve children; Arlene (special friend Ken McHugh) Neumann, Appleton; Daniel (Georgie) Schmidt, Seymour; Harold Jr., Black Creek; Judy (Glen) Nelson, Shiocton; Thomas (Debbie) Schmidt, Black Creek; John (Chris) Schmidt, Bonduel; Randy (Kathy) Schmidt, Black Creek; Peter (Karen) Schmidt, Nichols; Steve (Lauri) Schmidt, Seymour; Joe Schmidt (special friend, Margo) Center Valley; Patti Schmidt, Menasha; Gerald (Karen) Schmidt, Appleton. She is further survived by 38 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and her cat, Kitty.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard (Judy) Schmidt; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters and three brothers.

Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon with Father Brian Belongia officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
