Nancy E. Porter, 85, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Good Shepherd, Seymour.
She was born June 30, 1936, daughter of the late Arnold and Gladys (Shauger) Burmeister. Nancy is a graduate of Seymour High School and attended the University of Green Bay and Lawrence College.
After a short period of banking, she married Charles Gomm and they farmed in the town of Seymour and Cicero for 37 years until his death in 1993. In 1995 Nancy was united in marriage to Roy Porter who preceded her in death on November 14, 2014
Playing Bridge, shopping, traveling, and reading were some of the things she enjoyed. Nancy was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons: Tim (Karen) Gomm and their children: Holly (Kevin) VandenLangenberg and their children: Gunner, Jessie, and Trevor Gomm; Randy (Kris) Gomm and their children: Kyle (Shoshannah) Gomm and their children: Jaxton, Kashton, Kolton, Giovanni, Tito; Brittni (Riley) Bricco and their children: Georgia, Franklin, and Erika (fiancé Alex Sievert) Gomm, and Meghan Gomm; Roy's children: Jodi (Jon) Braun, Sara Jahnke, Ryan (Jessica) Porter and their children; brothers: Bruce (Jean) Burmeister, and Jim (Carla) Burmeister; in-laws: Rosemary Gomm, Germaine Croell, Kathleen Leeman, Rosella Zitske, and Raymond (Diane) Gomm; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Nancy is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan Catherine.
Friends may call at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place at South Cicero Cemetery. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements.
