Norma Mueller

May 17, 1924 — November 3, 2012

Norma Elda Mueller, age 88, of Black Creek, went home to be with her Lord, having placed her trust in Him, on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Appleton Medical Center after a short illness.

She was born May 17, 1924 in Bear Creek, WI daughter of the late Walter and Matilda (Krause) Tietz. On August 23, 1947 she was united in marriage to Arthur Mueller at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Township of Cicero. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2008.

Norma was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Township of Cicero. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In her earlier years she worked side by side with her husband Arthur on the family dairy farm. Norma loved to bake, quilt, crochet beautiful doilies, garden and tend her flowers, including beautiful indoor violets, and watch the birds that came to her feeder. She was known as the "cookie grandma" and everyone hoped that a fresh batch was just made when we visited! No one left empty handed. Norma loved her family dearly and always put them first before herself.

Survivors include one son, Dennis (Peggy) Mueller, Little Suamico; four daughters: Rosie (Eugene) Wilkinson, Black Creek; Cheryl (Mitchell) Hovell, Seymour; Fay Mueller, Nichols; Kathie Christianson, Dale; twelve grandchildren, Bradley, Ryan and Craig Wilkinson; Clint (Abby), Casey (Jill) and Cole Mueller; Nathan, Joel and Megan Hovell; Angela, Bryan and Heather Christianson; three great-grandchildren, Cash, Rayleah, and Tana Mueller and one soon awaited great-grandchild; two step-grandchildren, Matthew (Kaitlyn) and Stacy Schwartz; one sister-in-law Dorothy Mueller and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur and her parents; an infant son Leonard; two sisters: Anna (Raymond) Tesch and Martha Tietz; a brother Louis (Volga) Tietz; three brothers-in-law: Harold, Walter, and Robert (Dorothy) Mueller; three sisters-in-law: Ella (Roy) Thomas, Alma (Frank) Stewart, and Beatrice (Larry) Barclay.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 4 pm to 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cicero, from 9:30 am until services at 11 am with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

A special thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Home and the Appleton Medical Center for all their special care and concern and to our church families for all the prayer support.
