Norman "Lee" Nelson, 67, Seymour, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 6, 2021, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. He was born July 9, 1954, to the late Norman C. and Agnes M. (Van Handel) Nelson, and was a 1972 graduate of Seymour High School. Lee was united in marriage to the mother of his daughters, Debra J. Zuleger, on October 26, 1974. He was united in marriage to his second wife, Jane Lasecki, on February 8, 2003.
Lee worked for MCC, Inc., for 38 years until his "retirement" in June of 2013. His retirement hiatus was short lived, as his love of the Green Bay Packers brought him to work at PMI Entertainment Group. Lee enjoyed being in the woods creating his campground and maintaining the homestead. He enjoyed spending time with others, especially while sitting around the bonfire and cooking out in the campground. Lee enjoyed "creating" numerous projects and tinkering with the grandchildren. His second passion was consuming copious quantities of ice cream without a bowl.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Nelson; two daughters: Jennifer (Jason) Mott and Carla (Alex) Prestidge; one stepson, Nathan (Allyson) Kemp; six grandchildren: Carlye Prestidge, Alexis, Hailey, and Kaiden Mott, and Nolan and Preston Kemp; one sister, Nancy (Chuck) Riehl; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m., Pastor Ho Lee officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family extends a special thanks to the MRI staff, ER staff, and Chaplain Denise of ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah for their efforts.
Lee gave in death as he gave in life; he was a tissue donor. Lee's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life from tissue donation.
