Norman Snell

Norman Snell, 91, beloved father, spouse, brother, grandfather, son, and great-grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on June 17, 2024.

Norman "Butch" was born in Seymour, WI to Lester Snell and Hilda Snell. Norman married Doris Snell on January 26, 1950 in Dubuque, IA. Norman lived most of his adult life in the Seymour area, later moving to the Waupaca area. Norman was a farm man who loved the land and the animals. He took great pride in his livestock as well as his family. He always had a good story to tell of family, friends or his hunting adventures with his best friend. But you could tell that his favorite thing of all, was watching his family. You could tell by the twinkle in his eyes.

He is survived by son, James Snell; son, Norman Snell (Nora); grandchildren: Jessica, Jason, Tia, Lakota, Zoey; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Alyvia, Johnson, Antonio, Jullian, and Anyiah. He is also survived by his sisters: Lois Tiedt, Janice Seegers, Sue (John) Hinchley, Diane Bowers and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Doris Snell (Spouse), Karen Snell (Daughter), Michael Snell (son), Lester Snell (Father), Hilda Snell (Mother), Lorraine Vandenbloomer(sister), Phyllis Springstroh (sister), Doris Felzer (sister), Patsy Howard, (sister), and Lester Snell Jr (brother).

Visitation for Norman will take place on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Highland Memorial Park Chapel, Appleton from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
