Patricia Nagel

Patricia "Pat" A. Nagel, 81, of Seymour passed away Friday afternoon February 6, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born February 21, 1933 to the late Normand and Erna Gerhartz. She was united in marriage on August 18, 1953 to her true love Lee Nagel, who preceded her in death on January 9, 2001.

Mom worked side by side with Dad, paint brush and roller in hand. She loved to sew, quilt, cross stitch and paint. Most of all, she loved being a mother.

She is survived by her children: Mike and Nancy Nagel, John and Dee Nagel, Leslie and Ben Miller, and Bruce Nagel; grandchildren: Brandon and Garrett Nagel, Erin and Dan Reath, Amanda Ney, Justin and Alyssa Nagel, Dustin Miller, Becca and Jake Hegge, Shelby and Megan Nagel; great-granddaughter Arianna Reath; sisters, Shirley Hurst and Mary (James) Nussbaum; number nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by brothers: Norman (Rosalie) Gerhartz and Don (Marie) Gerhartz; sister, Nancy Coonen; brothers-in-law, George Hurst and Terry Nagel; and the former sister-in-law, Trudy Nagel.

Friends may call at the Seymour New Life Methodist Church on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Pastor Rebecca Henry officiating. Burial will take place at Seymour City Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

A memorial fund has been established in Pat's name for Unity Hospice.
