Patricia "Pat" Riehl, 69, of Black Creek passed away on October 8, 2018 at her home with family by her side after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer . She was born June 16, 1949, daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth (Lietz) Pennings.
Pat was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Center. She was a retired USPS Appleton Rural Carrier. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was united in marriage to Wesley "Wes" Riehl on August 30, 1969. Wes preceded her in death on April 17, 2008.
Pat is survived by three daughters: Jodi (Paul) Mathe, Kerri Tuma, and Sarah (Salvador Cummings) Riehl; her grandchildren: Elizabeth, Emilie, and Joshua Mathe, Abigail, Laken, and Maddie Tuma, all of Black Creek, Salviesha, Ashanti, Salvador (SJ) Jr., and Akeelah Cummings, all of Jamaica; sister and brothers: Cindy (Tom) Baer, Lakewood, Michael (Mary) Pennings, Florida, Steve (Shawn) Pennings, Black Creek; special sister-in-law, Lois Volkman; special nieces: Jessi Wallenfang, Amanda and Marissa Pennings, special friends Rachel Olfson and Shirley McGlin.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Katelyn Rae Tuma.
Friends may call at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Center, from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 9:30 am until the time of service at 11:00 am with Pastor Mark Gartner and Pastor Andrew Frey officiating. Burial will take place in Bovina Cemetery, Shiocton. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
