Peter Baumann

Peter "Pete" H. Baumann age 65, of Seymour, WI passed away unexpectedly of cardiac arrest on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Bellin Hospital surrounded by family.

He was born June 9, 1959, son of Carl and Eileen Baumann. Pete was born and raised in Appleton. Attended Xavier High School, Blackhawk Tech in Janesville, WI for Air Craft Mechanics. He worked for Omniflight Helicopters in Janesville until 1984, and was also a pilot.

He was united in marriage to Toni Ott in 1982. In 1984 they moved to Seymour to take over the Ott family dairy farm until retiring from farming in 2001. Pete then went back to being a Certified and Licensed Aircraft Mechanic at Jet Air Group in Green Bay.

Pete loved his job and coworkers, he enjoyed building things, working on "projects", helping others, no matter what it was. His pride and joy was his beautiful garden. He enjoyed the outdoors, reading, biking around the countryside. Above all, he loved his family and friends. A testament to the incredible person he was, he is an organ donor and is still giving.

Pete is survived by his wife of 42 years, Toni; his children: Matthew and Kristin; siblings: Sister Ann Carla, Mike (Shirley) Baumann, John (Lani) Baumann, Janet (Steve) Gallo, Maribeth (George) Nicolaus; sisters-in-law: Terry, (Rick) Johnson, Tracy (Paul) Springstroh; brother-in-law, Tom Ott; mother-in-law, Jo Ott; goddaughters: Emily Tracey and Rachel Gallo. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Mary and Carol; father-in-law, Ray Ott; brother-in-law, T.J. Ott.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 4:00 pm until the funeral service at 6:00 pm with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating.

Our family would like to thank the Seymour First Responders, EMT's and Rescue Squad, Bellin Cardiac Unit ICU staff for their love, care and support. Pete was able to give the gift of life to others through organ donation, and we thank the UW Madison Organ Transplant team for the compassion.
