Peter Mikle

Peter R. Mikle, age 67, of Seymour, WI passed away August 5, 2023 after his fight with cancer.

Pete was born on October 14th, 1955 in Green Bay, WI to parents Lorraine (Johnson) Mikle and Herbert Mikle. On September 9th, 1978 he was united in marriage to Cynthia Rusch at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, WI.

Peter was raised in Gillet, where he attended school and later went out into the workforce, spending the majority of his time at Western Lime and Cement where he worked 30 years, then retired, allowing him to do his favorite things even more. He loved being on the water catching fish. He enjoyed hunting, especially his trips to Wyoming, and going up to his cabin, inviting everyone and anyone to join him. Pete was also a fan of the Brewers and Packers.

Pete is survived by his wife, Cynthia Mikle; two daughters and sons-in-law: Amy (Matt) Barke, Suamico; Melissa (Evan) Ellestad, McFarland; five grandchildren: Mason and McKenzey Linsmeyer, Chloe, Brooklyn, and Kaitlyn Ellestad. Further survived by his siblings: Rick (Sue) Mikle, Duane Mikle, Dan Mikle, Laurie (Chuck) Chapin, Steve Mikle, Tom (Jean) Mikle, John Mikle, and Chris (Henry) Mikle. Also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim (Jenelle) Rusch, Sheryl Van Straten, Diane (Dwayne) Schneekloth, Steve Rusch, Mark (Sue) Rusch, Maureen (Ron) Gowey, Ted Rusch, and Barb (Steve) Buman.

Pete was preceded in death by other family members and friends.

Visitation for Pete will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Visitation will continue at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Interment at Emmanual Lutheran Cemetery
