Phyllis Pearl Brown, 97, of Appleton, passed away peacefully Monday morning, September 25, 2017, at Willow Lane Assisted Living. She was born September 14, 1920, in the Town of Cicero, daughter of the late Chester and Edith (Wilson) Krull. On April 22, 1939, she was united in marriage for 55 years to Ben Brown. He preceded her in death March 26, 1994.
She was a 1938 graduate from Seymour High School.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Ronald (Marlene) Brown, Appleton; daughter, Beverly (Mark) Schabo, Black Creek; grandchildren: Todd (Johnna) Brown, Lisa (Brian) Miller, Tom (Lisa) Brown, Ben (Tabatha) Schabo, Jason (Amy) Schabo and Mike (Margaret) Brown; 14 great-grandchildren: Brianna, Steffani, Meredith, Samantha, Taylor, Trevor, Jayce, Makala, Kylee, Cloe, Tessa, Teagan, Gavin and Carter; sister-in-law: Elaine Krull; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brothers: Earl (Elsie) Krull, Russell (Eileen) Krull and Marvin Krull; one granddaughter, Rhonda Brown; in-laws: Geo and Jennie Brown; sisters-in-law: Berdine (Alfred) Sprinstroh, Adeline (Lester) Rockwell; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Ethel) Brown.
Friends may call at First English Lutheran Church, 326 E. North Street, Appleton on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 10:00 am until services at noon with Pastor Jeff Tengesdal officiating. Entombment will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at
