Seymour
Ralph E. Kneisler, (Doc), 89, of Seymour, passed away early Saturday morning, 0ctober 15, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. Ralph was born January 1, 1922, in Milwaukee to the late Oscar and Frieda (Schwenzen) Kneisler. He moved to Seymour at the age of five and resided there the rest of his life. He graduated from Seymour High School with the Class of 1940. Ralph was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture as a State Meat Inspector for 23 years retiring at the age of 71 years. He was also a very dedicated farmer and retired from farming at 74 years.
Ralph was a faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, and was a former member of the Luther League, Brotherhood and Senior Choir, and was a Sunday School teacher and usher. He served on the committee to organize the church library and Student Aid Fund. Ralph served on the Crystal Springs School Board. He enjoyed playing cards and he completed several hundred jigsaw puzzles after retirement.
Ralph was united in marriage to Arlene Sachs Krause August 18, 1962, and together they raised six loving children.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene, of 49 years; his family: Merlin (Karen) Kneisler, Margery (Jeff) Nettekoven, Donald (Sarah) Kneisler, James Kneisler, all of Seymour, Karen (Gary) Kercher of Pardeeville, and Jerry Kneisler, Appleton; his grandchildren: Michael Nettekoven, Tammy Nettekoven, Daniel Kneisler, Andrew and Jennifer Kneisler, Kathyrn Kneisler, Jacob and Joshua Kercher; a great-grandson, Keegan Kneisler; a special cousin, Junith (Burnell) Dewald, Sheboygan. Ralph is also survived by a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Vernon (Marcella) Sachs and Judy Sachs; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John (Delores); sisters: Ethelyn (Bernard) Lueck, Helen (Norbert) Van Handel, Dorothy (Wayne) Mielke; brothers-in-law: Wesley (Genevieve) Sachs, Roger Sachs; his in-laws, Otto and Laura Sachs.
Ralph was a kind, generous, soft-spoken man who truly appreciated his loving family and he will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating. Entombment at Highland Memorial Mausoleum, Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
