Raymond Matuszak

March 30, 1927 — February 26, 2013

Raymond R. Matuszak, 85, of Seymour passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at his daughter's home. He was born March 30, 1927 son of the late Casper and Theresa (Sigl) Matuszak. On June 16, 1951 he was united in marriage to Carol Stadler. Carol preceded him death on April 12, 1988.

Ray was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Seymour. He was a Korean Army Veteran and a member of the Seymour American Legion. He was employed with Murphy Construction until his retirement. He loved hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Survivors include his two daughters: Sharon (Bob) Skinkis, Seymour; Barbara (George) Simon, Seymour; grandchildren: Rick (Jenny) Liebergen, Stacy Bessette, Ryan Skinkis, Craig Skinskis, Ashley Skinkis, Jamie Mastey and Paul Mastey; great grandchildren: Cali, Allison, Rayna, Sam, Nick and Chris; sisters: Elaine, Bernice Lasecki, Arlene (Bob) Ossman; sister-in-law Lorraine Mauszak; special friend Marcie Gerry.

He is preceded in death by his infant son Brian and son Steve; brothers: Lyle and Gerald; sisters: Florence (Harly) Marcks, Margie (Keith) Baitinger; brother-in-law Marvin Lasecki.

Friends may call at St. John Catholic Church in Seymour on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 9:30 AM until services at 11:00 AM with Father Bob Kabat officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery with military rites to follow. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
