Raymond G. Wilson, age 90, of Seymour passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013. He was born February 6, 1923 in Mill Center, son of the late Irvin and Amanda (Barlament) Wilson.
On June 2, 1945 he was united in marriage to Janet Umnus.
Ray was involved with farming his entire life. In 1943 he raised cabbage and potatoes that were sold to the military to feed the soldiers. Later on they purchased a dairy farm in Isaar. While running the farm he began hauling milk to several dairies. Milk hauling became is full time job for over 30 years until his retirement in 1985.
Ray enjoyed his many years of retirement at their cottage, fishing, enjoying boat rides, and family get-togethers.
He was a talented woodworker and shared his talents with his family and friends. Ray was a Packer season ticket holder for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; three children: Laurie Metoxen, Green Bay; David (Kathy) Wilson, Arizona; Sally (Al) Wagner, Seymour; four grandchildren: Daniel (Kim) Metoxen, Green Bay; Tom (Breiann) Metoxen, Georgia; Jennifer (Roger Daffinson) Thiel, Seymour; Katie (Scott) Beilke, Hortonville; six great-grandchildren: Nikki, Allie, Kylie, Miles, Maisie, Jaina. Further survived by a sister, Isabel Adelbush.
Ray was preceded in death by three sisters: Alice Nitschke, Dorothy Holewinski, and Delores Holewinski; and brother, Harold Wilson.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 4 pm until services at 7 pm with Rev. Earl Smith officiating. Entombment will take place at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
