Richard J. Everard, 80, Seymour, passed away at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, March 17, 2016 after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Rich was born on December 12, 1935 and was 1 of 9 children. He was the son of the late Theodore and Virginia (Neuens) Everard. Rich married Genevieve (Jenny) Sobiek on October 9, 1954. He was a loving father of 10 children. Rich farmed his entire life and also worked outside of the farm including the Green Bay Foundry and the Seymour Co-Op. Rich loved spending time with his family, bowling, playing cards, and putting his hand on his grandchildren's head and then hugging them.
Rich is survived by his wife, Jenny; children: Nancy (Jamie) Cornwell, Judy (Ralph) Daoust, Richard Peter Everard, Joe (Cheryl) Everard, Tim (Trisha Bohm) Everard, Cathy (Mike) Tabbert, Polly Everard, Wendy Carpenter, Peggy (Randy) Zeuske, Tom (Dawn) Everard; his brother, Ted Everard; and sisters: La Verne Hansen and Jo Anne Elbe; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Dorothy (Howard) Daoust and Robert (Nancy) Sobieck. Rich and Jenny have 27 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Cornwell; his parents: Theodore and Virginia Everard; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bernard and Mary Sobiek; brother, Gerald (Germaine) Everard; sisters: Rosie (Mike) Nikodem, Vivian (Leland) Hansen, Frances (Henry) Bukoske, Elaine (Harold) Sobiek; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law: Ervin Lemerond, Sally Everard and Ronald Elbe.
Friends may call at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at St. John Catholic Church, Seymour on Monday, March 21, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 am with a Christian burial Mass at 11:00 am with Father Brian Belongia officiating.
