Richard Schmidt

Richard H. Schmidt, 86, of Black Creek passed away Sunday afternoon, July 22, 2012 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born June 23, 1926 son of the late Arnold and Frieda (Schabo)Schmidt. On June 16, 1962 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Burke.

Dick was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the Duhm-Masch Post in Black Creek. He enjoyed Old Glory Honor Flight to Washington D.C. Richard was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Black Creek.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; children: Bill, Appleton; Carrie Schmidt (special friend Mike), Weyauwega; a grandson, Blane; a sister, Janet (Alvin) Kasten, Appleton; sisters-in-law: Orla Schmidt, Neenah and Beverly Burke, Appleton.
He is preceded in death by his two brothers Gilbert and David Schmidt; brother-in-law, James Burke; sister-in-law, Dorothy Schmidt.
Friends may call at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Black Creek on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 9:30 AM until services at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Brandt and Pastor Stephen Schlicht officiating.
