Robert Paul Priebe, 85, Seymour, passed away at home with his family at his side on Monday, September 13, 2021. The son of the late Norman and Gladys (Krause) Priebe was born June 30, 1936, in New London, and he attended Hortonville High School. He was united in marriage to Carol Buman on November 17, 1956. Carol preceded Robert in death on June 19, 1964. He was later united in marriage to Jeanette Audrey "Sissy" Mohnen on October 31, 1968, in Deadwood, SD. Jeanette preceded Robert in death on December 29, 2020.
Robert was a milk truck hauler for 37 years until his retirement on April 15, 1999. He enjoyed farming; he was the proud owner of a 1936 AR John Deere. Robert also liked bowling, and playing cards at Colonial Lanes (Colonial House Supper Club). He found peace on the water during houseboat trips on the Mississippi River, as well as while vacationing up north at the trailers.
Survivors include eight children: Barbara (Gene) Behm, Kevin (Julie) Priebe, Kurt Priebe, Lawrence (Michelle) Mohnen, Joseph (Lisa) Priebe, Ricky (Linda) Priebe, Dean (Marcie) Priebe, and Jeffrey (Mindy) Priebe; 29 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Mary Vinz, James Mohnen, Sharon (Bob) Beckmann, Edward Mohnen, Dolores Waters, Paul (Nancy) Mohnen, and Theresa Ishmael; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Merlyn Kettner, Rosalie Mohnen, and Roseanne Mohnen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Robert was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Anna (Schroeder) Mohnen; one daughter-in-law, Sanjuana "Jane" Priebe; great granddaughter, Armani Jane Priebe; one sister, Grace (William) Bohman, and one brother, Jerry (LuAnn) Priebe; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John, Gerald, Richard, Leo (Donna), and Philip Mohnen; Betty Kettner; Gene Koch, Warren Vinz, Millie Mohnen, Alan Waters, and David Mohnen.
A celebration of life will take place at Colonial House Supper Club, N4330 County Rd E, Freedom (Kaukauna) on October 16 from 11am-3pm with a light lunch at noon. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Compassus Hospice for their compassionate care.
