Robert "Bob" Van Hoof, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. He was born June 8, 1934 to Walter and Dorothy (Murphy) Van Hoof.
He was united in married to Irene Schroeder July 28, 1955. She preceded him in death on July 28, 2010.
He is survived by his children: Debbie (Jim) Bernetzke, Lea Ann (Mark) Schneider, Randy (Carol) Van Hoof; 6 grandchildren: Jason (Jessica) Bernetzke, Joshua (Jamie) Bernetzke, Jake (Jennifer) Bernetzke, Jericho (special friend Luke Van Gompel) Schneider, M'Kallyn Schneider, Ryan Krause; 2 great-granddaughters, Emma and Keiana Bernetzke; a great-grandson, Keith; two brothers: Jim (Janet) Van Hoof, Gary (Sue) Van Hoof; a sister, Shirley (Orville) Evers; sister-in-law Phyllis Schroeder; three brothers-in-law: Glen (Dottie) Schroeder, Jim Gresl, Pete Petersen.
He preceded in death by a sister and a brother-in-law Jane (Emil) Witter.
There will be no traditional funeral service per Bob's request, but a celebration of his life will be held at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour with a gathering from 5 p.m. until services at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating.
