Robert Wagner

August 13, 1960 — August 3, 2023

Robert "Bob" Wagner, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Bob was born on August 13, 1960 to the late Raymond and Gladys (Pamperin) Wagner. Robert was united in marriage to Jennifer Gritt. Bob was a graduate of Seymour High School in 1978.

"Tractor Papa" as he was called by his grandchildren, took over his family's dairy farm at the age of 18. He spent the first half of his career milking cows prior to transitioning into the custom farm harvesting business, where he provided services to countless farmers in the area. When Bob was not busy with the business, he would volunteer his time serving many years on the Nichols Co-op Board, as a member of the Church Council, and as a Volunteer Firefighter.

Bob enjoyed spending his free time outdoors chopping wood, spending time at the lake, and traveling with his Renk Seed friends. Bob always looked forward to deer hunting with family and friends and his annual ice fishing trip to Lake Winnibigoshish. For the last few years, Bob and his friend Jim carried on the legacy of "Grandpa John's" sweet corn which had people traveling from miles away trying to get some.

He is survived by his beloved wife Jennifer Wagner; sons: Josh (Kajja) Wagner and Logan Wagner; grandchildren: Mason, Aubrey, Carsen, and Dawson; siblings: Betty (Don) Sedo, Mike, Chris (Dennis) Neuman, Carol (Mike) Bluma, Steve (Nancy); sisters-in-law: Bonnie Wagner, Darlene Wagner; brother-in-law Jim Weyers: in-laws: Karen Gietman, Ed (Mary) Gritt, Mary (Jerry) Lawrence, Carolyn (Bruce) Fassbender, Judy Ver Voort, June (Terreson) Parr, Christine Vander Zanden, Becky Schaumberg, Steve Gritt, Mike (Jean) Gritt, and Kim (Bruce) Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Weyers; brothers: Thomas and Dennis Wagner; in-laws: Keith Gritt, Burt Gietman, Francis Ver Voort, and Gary Schaumberg.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Tuesday August 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue at St. Mary Catholic Church in Black Creek on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the funeral mass at 11:00 AM with Father Dave Greskowiak officiating. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
