Roger E. Bergsbaken, age 80, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010. He was born March 14, 1930 in the Town of Lessor, Shawano County to the late Peter and Iva (Delamater) Bergsbaken.

On September 29, 1951 he married Dolores Dudek at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Hofa Park. Roger and Dolores operated the farm for 40 years and retired in 1994.

Roger was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Navarino, serving on the cemetery committee, a communion distributor and taught catechism. He was also on the board of directors of the Nichols Co-Op. Roger enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and hockey games.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores, his son, Father Dennis Bergsbaken of Greenleaf; two sisters: Lila Holewinski of Miami, FL and Elaine (Leo) Yeager of San Diego, CA.

Roger was preceded in death by a son, Richard Bergsbaken, and two sisters: Doris (John) Anderson and Joyce (Norbert) Brusky.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 4 PM to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Navarino from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM with Father Theodore Hendricks and Deacon Don Coenen officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
