Roger Lom, 76, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022. He was born on January 19, 1946, to the late Edmund and Evelyn (Lemke) Lom, and he grew up on the family farm. Roger was a 1963 graduate of Seymour High School. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Lynn Turkow, on May 29, 1968, and the couple raised five children and enjoyed 54 years of marriage.
Roger was a lifelong member of Freedom Moravian Church. He enjoyed his career as a truck driving instructor at Fox Valley Technical College for 42 years until his retirement in 2018. Roger also taught motorcycle safety. His work and spending time with his family were his lifelong passions.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Lom; five children: Heather Lom, Erin (Greg) Reisimer, Amber (Jason) Henke, Wylie (Rebecca) Lom, and Caley Erban; six grandchildren: Reis and Aubry Schweiner, Jaden and Cambrie Reisimer, Raina and Alexander Lom; two step-grandchildren: Kyan and Kiera Redling; siblings: Joseph (Mary) Lom, Duane (Rhonda Akeson) Lom, and Darlene Missling; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 noon, Pastor Vicki Jens-Page officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
