He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1962 where he was a star basketball player and natural athlete.

He worked for 35 years at Fort Howard Paper Mill until his retirement in 1999. Ron was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and season ticket holder. He also enjoyed watching and listening to the Brewers. Ron liked to get out on the water for a good day of fishing, getting all of the gear together to go camping, a good night on the bowling lanes, and his time out on the fairways and greens, along with doing the "Taco Open" each year.
He was involved with starting the Seymour Car Club, Village Stompers, and was the driver of stock car number 57 and drag raced in Kaukauna. Ron spent time woodworking and making things for his family, and enjoyed building model trains. Ron and Joan liked to travel, and especially enjoyed winters in Florida. Above and beyond all of the things Ron enjoyed, the time spent with his family was his favorite.
