Rosa Blackbull

Rosa K. Blackbull, age 43, of Seymour passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, June 14, 2013 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 16, 1970 to Harvey and Ruth (Metoxen) Melchert.

She worked for the Oneida Tribe for over 13 years.

Rosa loved her husband, children and grandson and spent a lot of time with them. She was known as "Do" to her grandson.

Rosa was always momma's little girl.

She enjoyed being around family and friends at barbeques, watching Packer games, and various celebrations. Rosa was filled with a good sense of humor and loved making people laugh.

In her final days on earth she accepted her illness and it's progression. She wanted her family to stay strong and continue to be close to one another. At the moment of her passing there was a wonderful rainbow around the sun as a sign that everything was going to be "ok".

She is survived by her husband Edgar Sr.; daughter Juanita (Andrew); son Edgar Jr.; grandson Axiver; mother Ruth Melchert; four sisters: Patsy (John), Brenda, Kitty (Barry), and Bonnie (Kevin) five brothers: Harvey Jr. (Sue), Tony, Daniel, Adam (Karen), and Alvin (Amanda). Also survived by mother-in-law Winifred Blackbull; in-laws: Robin, Matthew, Duane, Travis, Shirley, Collette, Melinda, and Trudy. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Rosa was preceded in death by her father Harvey Sr.; two brothers: Donald and Terry; brother-in-law Brad; and grandparents.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 4 to 8 pm with the Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Oneida Assembly of God Church from 9:30 am until services at 11 am with Pastor Lonnie Johnson officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
