Rosalia Ohlrogge was lifted up on eagle's wings to be with her Lord when she died peacefully on November 4 at Brewster Village. Rose was born in Oshkosh, WI on October 28, 1906, daughter of the late Rev. Leopold and Anna Moench. Rose lived most of her young life in St. Paul, MN, where she was an executive secretary at Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Co. On October 12, 1932, she married Rev. Theodore Ohlrogge at her parent's congregation in Cresco, IA. The couple then moved to Avoca, WI, where Rev. Ted took his first ministry position. They subsequently served parishes in Wilton and Seymour. In 1952, The Wisconsin District of the American Lutheran Church elected Ted to serve as its President and Rose and Ted moved to Appleton. He served as President of the Northern Wisconsin District of TALC until his retirement in 1972. The couple enjoyed 23 wonderful winters in Sarasota, FL. Rose and Ted were charter members of two mission congregations: Prince of Peace in Appleton, and Christus in Greenville. Rose was the quintessential pastor's wife.
