Rose M. Doersch, 84, of Seymour passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Shepherd’s Inn in Seymour. She was born November of 1933, a daughter of the late Leona Thyssen.
On July 20, 1957 she was united in marriage to Darrel L. Doersch in Seymour. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2004.
Rose had worked as a bank teller at Valley Bank. She also worked on the family farm with her husband for many years. Rose was also a vital part of the Town of Osborn Fire Department as their Dispatch Service. She was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
She was an avid reader, was a member of the Homemakers Club, and a founding member of the Dairyland Snowmobile Club. Rose was most proud of being a homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
Rose is survived by her children: Deb (Tim) Hofacker, Linda (Rick) Krause, Andy (Deb) Doersch, and Steve (Karen) Doersch; her grandchildren: Brianna (Patrick) Jenkins, Kasey (Garrett) Konkle, Corey (Lisa Rabe) Hofacker, Sarah (Jason) Dumas, Kristin (Ola) Shaw, Jenna Krause, Josh Krause, Kendall (Brad Simmons) Doersch, Zac Doersch, Michael (Marci) Doersch, Kayla Doersch, and Melissa Doersch; great-grandchildren: Ella and Maddie Doersch, and Kadence Shaw. She is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Duane (Ginny) Doersch, Donald (Shirley) Doersch, James Doersch, Ken (Judy) Doersch, and Janice (Tom) Thompson.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Judy Doersch.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 9:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Vicki Jens-Page officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
