Rose "Rosie" Glatz, age 77, of Freedom passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, July 6, 2011. She was born November 20, 1933, daughter of the late Theodore and Anna Marie (Peeters)Young.

On May 28, 1952 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Glatz. He preceded her in death August 30, 2009.

Rosie was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends, golfing and being part of the Irish Water's Golf League, and being part of the Six Pack Ladies. Rosie loved playing cards, cooking, gardening, and walking.

She is survived by five children: Sue (Dan) Moericke, DePere; Barb (Jack) Van Eperen, Freedom; Randy (Karen) Glatz, Black Creek; Kathy (Joel) Swedberg, Appleton; Wayne (Sharon) Glatz, Freedom; ten grandchildren: Bobby Jo Lade, Rick Moericke, Stacy Gowey, Nick Glatz, Sarah Wanta, Thomas Glatz, Amanda Swedberg, Travis Swedberg, Kevin Glatz and Amber Glatz; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mildred Stingle, Bernice (Ronnie) Young, Marcy (Jim) Freimuth; sister-in-law, Audrey Glatz. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son Tom Glatz, brother James Young; sister Carol Young; brothers-in-law Dennis Stingle, Merlin, Melvin and Roland Glatz; mother-in-law Anna Glatz; father-in-law Edwin Glatz.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour Friday, July 8, 2011 from 5 PM - 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM and Saturday from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom, with Father Dave Hoffman officiating, burial at St, Mary's Cemetery Black Creek. Thanks for all the memories Mom. You were a wonderful Mother, Grandma and friend you will be forever in our hearts.
