Rosanne "Rosie" F. (Van Den Bosch) Roskom, 79, of Black Creek passed away following a brief illness on August 12, 2023 at ThedaCare Appleton. She was born on November 27, 1943 daughter of the late Peter and Matilda (Ebben) Van Den Bosch.
On July 3, 1965 she was united in marriage to Dennis Roskom. They have celebrated 58 wonderful years together.
Rosie graduated from Freedom High School. She worked at Thilmany Paper, Chilton Toys, Jansport and Good Shepherd. Volunteering at Community 2000 for several years was very important to Rosie. Her most treasured role in life was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother to her family. She loved spending time with her family and snuggling the babies.
Watching Heartland and Wheel of Fortune, feeding the birds, doing puzzles, entering contests, playing solitaire and a variety of games were enjoyable to Rosie. Baking her famous cookies for the family was one of her favorite things to do. We all loved them and always looked forward to sneaking one, two or more out of the freezer. We could never eat just one! She had a love of sewing, embroidering towels, and making quilts for the grandchildren. We always knew it was time to come home when we heard Mom's special call echoing through the timbers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Roskom; her children: Dean (Karen) Roskom, Rick (Nancy) Roskom, Dawn (Eric) Ebben, Renee Smet, and Ryan (Deja Stark) Roskom; 16 grandchildren: Joe (Carley) Roskom, Kayla (Zeke) Riley, Casey (Jordan), Jake and Cody Roskom, Patrick and Peter Houfek, Makeena and Alex (Lilly) Brick, Bailey, Bethanie and Brielle Ebben, Kylee, Evan and Logan Smet, and Piper Roskom; 7 great-grandchildren: Colton and Jace Roskom, Corbin and Zander Riley, Parker and Ella Roskom, Skyra Brick, and one on the way.
Rosie is further survived by her siblings: Mary Jane (Vic) Van De Loo, John (Judy) Van Den Bosch, Hank (Mary) Van Den Bosch, Jean (Larry) Helein, Bob (Dort) Van Den Bosch, Pauline (Bill) Garvey, Dick (Linda) Van Den Bosch, and Shirley (Keith) Kerzner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Connie (Bob) Banker, Allen (Cindy) Roskom, Linda Roskom, Bill (Kay) Roskom, Carol (Dennis Reese) Storma, Pat (Doug) Houf, Ginny Van Lannen, Brian (Kelly) Diedrick, and Noreen Moeller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arnold and Verona Roskom; granddaughter, Allyce (Tong Lee) Reetz; siblings: Margaret (Punk) Schell, Wilma (Rich) Schumacher, Donnie Van Den Bosch; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Vy Van Den Bosch, Ione (Ronnie) Zahn, Roger (Sandy) Roskom, Stevie Roskom, Dave Roskom, and Ronnie Roskom.
