Rosemary J. Rueden, 82, of Seymour passed away June 29, 2012 at her home. She was born October 4, 1929 daughter of the late Frank and Marion (Foster) Norris. On October 22, 1949 she was united in marriage to Andrew Rueden after she agreed to skate with the second best skater at the roller rink (of course, she was the best). He preceded her in death December 18, 2002.
In addition to raising ten children; she worked for the Good Shepherd Daycare, Huettl's Bus Line and Stein Garden and Gift; she also lived on and operated a dairy farm with her husband. She was very proud to pass on her creativity, love of horses, gardening and excellent cooking and baking skills. Her musical talent included being able to play the ukulele, accordion, organ, piano, auto harp, harmonica and many more.
Survivors include her children: Michael (Holly) Rueden, Juelaine (Chuck) Miller, Shirley (Dale) Morrow, Evelyn (Ron) O'Neil, Craig (Wendy) Rueden, Laurie Starkey, Holly (Mike) Dhuey, Dean Rueden, Kaylyn (Bill) Cone, and Faye Kuehl; 29 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Fred Norris.
She is preceded in death by her three sisters: Lucille; Kathryn and Carol and her grandchildren Taylor Nelson and Brodie Denow.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 4 PM until services at 7 PM with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to Heartland Hospice.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice, our sister Faye for being there for mom during the 2 years of multiple doctor appointments, medical procedures and keeping a detailed medical journal, and her granddaughter April (Miller) Oja for making her feel safe and secure her last few days.
