Roy Eichinger, age 88, of Seymour and formerly of Algoma and Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Shepherd's Inn in Seymour.
He was born May 28, 1923 and grew up on a farm outside Brussels, WI.
He enlisted in the US Army and was a proud veteran of WWII. After his military service he graduated with an education degree from UW River Falls and later earned a Master's Degree from UW Stout. Roy enjoyed a career in education, finishing in administration at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire.
Roy is survived by his daughters: Jean (Keith) Swett, Seymour; Marie Eichinger, Madison; Nancy (David) Cedarstrom, Verona; and Wendy (Stan) Pajala, Washburn. He is further survived by two grandchildren: Laura Swett, Seymour; and Cole Pajala, Washburn; and a sister Enid Kerndt, Florida.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Evadine, and his grandson Matthew Swett. Also preceded by his brothers: Charles, Robert, Fred, and Calvin.
A memorial service for Roy will be held at a later date.
