WICHMAN, ROY W.
Roy W. Wichman, age 81, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 3, 1926 son of the late William and Selma (Finder) Wichman. He was united in marriage to Gladys Court on June 9, 1951. Roy was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. He was a member of the Town of Center Fire Department for many years and also a member and director of the Outagamie County Fair Association and supervisor on the Outagamie County Board. Roy was a life long farmer, enjoyed playing cards, gardening, traveling, (especially with Farmers on the Bum) and spending time with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys, his children: Mark (Debbie) Wichman, Appleton: Bruce (Faye) Wichman, Appleton and Judy (Greg) Koleske, Black Creek; grandchildren: Jessica (Ben) Banker, Black Creek; Erica (Fiance Clifton Stephenson) Wichman, West Allis; Brian (Fiance Darcie Doepker) Wichman, Seymour; Bradley Wichman; Katie Wichman; Emily Wichman, at home; step-grandchildren: Nichole (Jason) Fournier, Appleton; Jessica (Fiance Shawn Samson) Koleske, Seymour; great-grandchildren; Michael, Kyle and Lucas Banker; Tahryn Stephenson; step-great-grandchild: Alexander Samson. He is further survived by: one sister, Eunice Karweick, Seymour: sisters-in-law, Marcella Court, Seymour: Elaine Court, Seymour and many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Roy was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law: Fern (Kermit) Lueck, Verla (Norman) Maas, Evelyn (Stephen) Simon, Lester Karweick, Earl Court and Archie Court.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Friday, February 29, 2008 from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Visitation will continue at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 9:30AM until time of services at 11 AM with Rev. Roland Lindeman officiating.
