Ruby Pearl Minlschmidt, age 87, of Black Creek, passed away Monday morning, May 23, 2011 at her home. She was born September 18, 1923, daughter of the late Willard and Frances (Van Straten) Last. On September 23, 1941 she was united in marriage to Floyd Minlschmidt. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Ruby graduated from Shiocton High School Class of 1941. Ruby's father called her his "Little Gem". She was a faithful and active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Black Creek. She worked many years at the Black Creek School as a cook and loved time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children; Mary Beth Minlschmidt, Appleton; Carol Knoke, Green Bay; John (Maxine) Minlschmidt, Black Creek; Jane (Greg) Reed, Seymour; Cindy (Eric) Dovenbarger, Florida; Cheri (Tom) Duffey, Appleton; Pam Minlschmidt, Appleton; Lisa Minlschmidt(Special Friend Ray), Appleton; Todd (Renee) Minlschmidt; Amy Lawrence (special friend Dave), Black Creek; 25 grandchildren; 35 great grand- children; 1 sister Ethel Diermeier, Black Creek; Brother-in-law LeRoy Minlschmidt, Appleton.

Preceded in death by a daughter Sue and a brother Willard.

Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 4-8 with a prayer service at 7:30 PM and Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek from 10:00 AM until funeral services at 11:00 with Father Theodore Hendricks officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
