Russell Krause

February 11, 1965 — February 1, 2014

Russell H. Krause, age 48, of De Pere, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 due to a snowmobile accident in Florence Co. Township of Tipler. He was born February 11, 1965 son of Carl and Joyce (Johnson) Krause.
On October 7, 1989 he was united in marriage to Dianne Van Lanen. He was a 1983 graduate of Seymour High School and was presently employed as a maintenance welder for the Green Bay Correctional Institute, prior to this he was employed at Koss Industrial for 17 years.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. He was a volunteer and maintenance captain of the Hobart Fire Department where he was a firefighter since 1996. He was Firefighter of the year in 2004. Russ enjoyed Nascar, stock cars, snowmobiling, bowling, and was an avid outdoorsman and most of all enjoyed his children's events. He loved his furry family dog, Rocky.
He was survived by his wife, Dianne; daughter, Shalene; son, Tyler; parents, Carl (Joyce) Krause; mother-in-law and father-in-law John (Bonnie) Van Lanen; siblings: Dean (Marlene) Krause, Tina (Randy) Riegert, Kevin (Lynn) Krause, Diane (Greg) Weis, Tami (Ruben) Gonzales, Pamela Gaertig, Brian (Kara) Krause; brother and sisters-in-law: Lisa Truttmann (fiancAC. Bob Carter), John (Alison) Van Lanen, Mary Lou (Al) Farvour; godchildren: Justin Friebel and Mackenzie Truttmann; many nieces and nephews and friends.
Preceded in death by grandparents and nephew, Spencer.
Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 2 p.m. until services at 7 p.m. with Rev. Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will take place in the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for the educational funds for his children.

You were a compassionate, loving, big hearted person who would help anyone who would ask. There wasn't anything you couldn't fix. Putting smiles on everyone's face was infectious. You will sadly be missed, but will always live in our hearts forever.
