Ruth L. Birkholz, age 89, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Grandcare Nursing Center in Green Bay. Ruth was born August 27, 1918 in Seymour, daughter of the late Fred and Martha (Butter) Reetz. On September 28, 1940, she was united in marriage to Vernon C. Eick. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1956. She married Norman C. Birkholz on February 20, 1979. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1997. Ruth enjoyed watching Packer games, reading, feeding the backyard birds, trips to Vegas and being with her family. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
She is survived by a daughter: Susan (Gene) Stingle, Seymour; step-daughter, Lois (Sandy) Bloom, Appleton; step-son, Steve (Joan) Birkholz, Burlington, WI; 2 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 1 step great-granddaughter; a sister, Durelle Puls, Seymour; a sister-in-law, Florence Birkholz, Seymour; brother-in-law, Hubert Eick, Neenah; many nieces and nephews and 3 great-granddogs.
