Ruth Hammond
February 21, 1915 — April 28, 2013
Ruth E. Hammond, 98, of Seymour, formally of Acton, Maine, passed away early Sunday morning, April 28, 2013 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born February 21, 1915 daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Thomson) Houghton.
In October of 2000 Ruth moved to Wisconsin after the passing of her 3rd husband to be closer to her sons. She was a member of Seymour United Methodist Church. Ruth was a very family oriented woman.
Survivors include her sons: Ronald (Kay) Meek, Sobieski; David (Judy) Meek, Pulaski; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husbands: Edwin J. Meek, Paul Gerrish and Edward Hammond; one brother, Gordon Houghton.
Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Milton Mills New Hampshire.
