HECKEL, SCOTT
Scott P. Heckel, age 41, of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 12, 2010. He was born June 7, 1969 to Robert and Patricia (Scott) Heckel.
He attended Freedom High School, UW Milwaukee, and received his Masters' Degree in Engineering at Virginia Tech. Scott has been employed with Cummins Filtration in Stoughton for many years and is registered on 15 patents. He was passionate about downhill skiing in Utah and traveled to France to ski the French Alps. Scott enjoyed traveling and was a huge Hokies football fan. Attending music concerts with friends was a favorite activity of Scott's. He also enjoyed camping and being outdoors. He was also a friend of Bill's.
Survivors include his daughter, Layla Heckel, son, Ian Heckel, both of Stoughton; parents, Robert and Patricia Heckel, Appleton; siblings: Steve (Rosa) Heckel, Appleton; Kris (Loren) Lemke, Black Creek; and special friend, Mary Carrasco, Stoughton; nieces and nephews: Morgan, Valerie, Zach, Tori, and Reed. Also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents and an aunt, Gail Bales.
Friends may call at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Mackville on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 9 am until memorial mass at 11 am with Father Justin Werner officiating.
