Selma Krueger

Selma E. Krueger, age 87, of Seymour and formerly of the Town of Maine, passed away Friday morning, April 18, 2014 at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah. She was born August 3, 1926 a daughter of the late Oscar and Elizabeth (Dreher) Hammond.

In 1947 she was united in marriage to Clifford Gilbert, he preceded her in death in 1958. Selma later married Laurance Krueger in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 2003.

Selma was the official greeter at the Nichols Memory Mall for many years. She had previously waitressed at numerous restaurants in the surrounding area.

Survivors include children: Barb (Barry) Witthuhn, Shawano; Mary (Keith) Krueger, Seymour; Kerry (Judy) Krueger, Nichols; Gary "Bub" Krueger, Seymour; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Selma is also preceded in death by her daughter, Lou Geborek; grandson, James Block; 3 brothers: Earl "Stub", Clark, and Sam.

Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 9 am until the funeral service at 11 am with Rev. Gregory Sorenson officiating. Burial will take place in South Maine Cemetery at a later date. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
